Hi, guys, I was just wondering if you could take a minute to go to this page and report it.The page has recently been putting up photos of Avatar cosplayers (like the one pictured above….cosplayer unknown because the page failed to give her proper credit), then telling everyone to rate the cosplayers “yay” or “nay”. Most of the people who comment don’t give a damn how beautiful or intricate the cosplays may be….if the cosplayer isn’t Asian, or is not the right size, they put “nay”. As someone who cosplayed Katara and had “Katara ain’t white!” spat in her face by some punk chick at NYCC back in 2010, this hits a nerve. While movies should have actors who fit specific guidelines, I don’t give a flying f*ck what ethnicity a cosplayer is. If the costume is made well and the person can emulate the character, then it’s a good cosplay. Cosplayers do not deserve to be treated in this manner….they have spent a ton of money and effort to pay homage to a character they love.Since this page is all about cosplaying regardless of who you are, I hope you don’t mind that I’m bringing this to your attention. I just feel that when people are hating on cosplayers because of their race, it needs to be made aware of and stopped.

getting on cosplayers because m. night fucked up the avatar movie is really crazy…. i have a feeling this person’s really bitter!

Apparently putting an orange party hat on your face makes you and Angry Bird.

is the next “thing” gonna be angry bird cosplays…

Hallo! I have a quick question for you guys! Do you think that the fact of having say braces, something that you cannot in anyway remove, will take away form a pretty good cosplay? Or does it really not matter since everyone knows you can't just take off things like braces at will? I was just wondering your opinion...

just like a lot of things, there are parts you cant change - braces are one of them! i wouldn’t worry about braces. they’re there and they’re not coming off until the orthodontist says so anyway, so i’d consider them to be a permanent thing. i feel the same way about piercings that heal up quickly, as well. for example, i have a nose stud - if i don’t have a clear retainer for it and just take it out, there’s a big chance it could just heal up very quickly.

for things like braces and piercings and whathaveyou, i wouldn’t worry about it. those are things that are necessary.

(we’ve already gone over race, and its in the FAQ, so i wont bring it up for this PARTICULAR discussion, esp since race is not comparable to braces, its just something you cant change)

Okay, I want your personal opinion:My fiance and I are both really big into video games and anime, and one day he said it'd be awesome if I dressed up like a character that he found attractive and then had sex with him, since in the end, it's still me and my parts are still there. I'm seriously considering doing this for him, since I think it may be fun. Would this be weird, though?

WELP that’s quite the question! i mean, it’s all in good fun. there’s no (not consensual) infidelity going on. you’re two consenting adults. plenty of people “roleplay” in their sex lives. dress up like pac man and talk dirty about ghosts for all i care! just have fun! who cares if it’s weird? :3
